Feel The Power, Hear The Roar @ Aero Engine Run Day
The Queensland Air Museum presents its collection of historic
operational aircraft engines in a special display of aviation
horsepower. The awesome sight and sound of a 1500 horsepower 14
cylinder radial engine powering up is an unforgettable experience
and not to be missed. The museum's operational engines and
aircraft cover a range of engine designs dating from the 1940s.
Visitors are encouraged to inspect the engines between runs and
talk to the volunteers who restored them.
The Museum's operational engine and aircraft collection consists of engines ranging from 40hp up to 1,500hp and dating from 1930. It includes a full operational CAC Wirraway Aircraft.
Engines will be run at 11AM ,12.30PM & 2PM
Please Note: The actual engines and aircraft running on the day are subject to serviceability and may vary.
An all day BBQ sausage sizzle will be in operation with cold drinks, tea and coffee available for purchase.
The regular museum display of over 50 aircraft and aviation memorabilia is included in the entry fee.
Adult $13, Concession $10, Child $8, Family (2 Adults, 3 Children) $30
