Thousands are expected to join in council’s Australia Day community party at Kings Beach Amphitheatre on 26 January to celebrate Aussie-style.
A great day of family fun is planned from 10 am to 5 pm with entertainment to suit all tastes and ages.
This free public event at Kings Beach will be bursting at the seams with live entertainment, workshops, activities and market stalls expressing the national diversity that has become an important part of the Australian national character.
Australia Day Community Celebrations are a great way to celebrate safely and responsibly and will be an alcohol and glass free event.

De Vene Avenue from Moreton Parade to Ormonde Terrace 1 am to 7 pm
Traffic from Princess Lane will only be permitted to turn left 7 am to 7 pm

For a sit down meal or takeaway try one of the local cafes and restaurants.
A number of vendors will also be on site bringing you coffee, pancakes, potato slinky’s, corn fritters and lots more.
Make sure you wear sunscreen, a hat and drink plenty of water. Please do not bring any glass.
As always, it is important that we remember to celebrate safely and responsibly and that we consider our community and environment.
With security and police in attendance, anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated.
Parents and guardian’s can help us re-unite lost children quickly by wrist banding their children with their mobile number. Wrist bands will be available from the council Information Tent.
Event parking and shuttle bus
Free parking will be organised at both the Transit Centre in Cooma Terrace and in Queen Street near the Caloundra High School.
A free shuttle bus will run continually from 9.30pm until 5.30pm with stops at the Transit Centre, Kings Beach Amphitheatre and Queen Street (in front of high school).
