What: Enjoy all the fun of the great outdoors as you undertake a 10 or 30km ride around Kawana Waters in the Tour de Kawana Charity Cycle. This fun-filled event is encouraging families from all over South East Queensland to participate in the Charity Cycle on April 29, to raise much needed funds for Cystic Fibrosis Queensland.
When: 29 April 2007, from 6.45am for late registrations
Where: Innovation Parkway, Kawana, Sunshine Coast
Who: Anyone interested in a riding to raise funds for Cystic Fibrosis Queensland or is interested in a family fun day is welcome to participate in the Tour de Kawana.
In 2006, the Tour de Kawana Island raised much needed funds for Cystic Fibrosis Queensland, as it encouraged participants to Take a Breath for CF. Approximately 400 participants attended the bike ride, and this year it is expected that this number could grow to 800!
And if you're worried that a 10km circuit isn't enough to challenge your physical abilities, a 30km criterium is also being offered for the more serious cyclist amongst us.
The afternoon will end with the Sunshine Coast Cycling Club undertaking it's Men and Women's A Grade criteriums, whilst other attendees enjoy jumping castles, face painting, and other activities supplied by Hot91 FM. A coaching clinic will also be available for enthusiastic cyclist.
