Australia Zoo Wildlife Warriors is hosting A Night in Black and
White, a cocktail fundraiser to raise money and awareness for the
plight of the Tasmanian devil.
The Tasmanian devil population is being decimated by a cancer known as the Devil Facial Tumour Disease, which is one of only three ''cancers'' in the world that is contagious. We would be delighted if you could join us to help save this iconic species from extinction, which experts say could happen within 10 to 20 years if nothing is done.
When: Saturday 2 May 2009 (boarding starts at 6:00pm return at 9:00pm)
Where: Steve''s Whale One, The Wharf Mooloolaba
Tickets: $60 per person - includes hot and cold canaps and a gentle cruise through the Mooloolaba canals. Entertainment and live auctions will be held throughout the night.
With the help of our amazing event sponsors, 100 percent of ticket sales will go towards Tasmanian devil conservation, ensuring we can contribute money towards research for a cure and to help establish insurance populations to save the species.
