Adult Literacy Program to commence at Maroochydore in July
Maroochy Libraries are supporting a new adult literacy program in partnership with Solutions, a not-for-profit Nambour based organisation that provides weekly adult literacy classes in Nambour and Gympie.
These new classes in Maroochydore are funded by a grant from the Queensland Department of Employment and Training's Training in Communities program.
The new program, for adults who have difficulties with reading and writing, will be held in the building next door to Maroochydore Library at Cotton Tree on Wednesdays from 9.30am-12.30pm from 12 July.
If you need help with reading or writing or know someone else who does, please call Di on 5476 2511 or 0409 891363 for more details. There are no fees and groups are small, so call now to avoid disappointment.
Improving your reading and writing can help you to do things like fill in forms successfully, improve your job prospects or get ahead at work. It can help you with study, reading the newspaper or even to enjoy reading stories to your kids.
