It’s on again in 2016!!

Queensland Air Museum will host its first AERO ENGINE RUN DAY on Saturday, January 16.

Visitors will have access to all of the museums exhibits, plus there will be engines running at 10.30, 12 noon and 2pm. Hot and cold drinks will be available and our BBQ Sausage sizzle will run all day; Coffee Van; WW2 Jeep Rides and the Planes Fire and Rescue Jumping Castle free for the kids.

Loads of fun for all the family!

This year’s event will provide a special opportunity to visitors to purchase one of John Best’s numbered prints “Australia at last” depicting the arrival of the F-111 fleet from the USA to Australia on June 1, 1973, and the prints are personally signed by SQDL Wal Walters, the RAAF pilot who flew QAM’s F-111C A8-129 on that historic day. Only 129 of these prints have been produced and they are selling fast, so come along to the Aero Engine Run Day on January 16, have a great day, and take one of these historic prints home with you. This is a never to be repeated offer.
