The fourth Sunshine Coast French Film Festival is here!
The Alliance Franaise Sunshine Coast French Film Festival is back for its fourth great year..
The Festival this year is organized once again by the Alliance Franaise de la Sunshine Coast with the generous support of Peugeot through its Sunshine Coast dealer, A Cullen and Son of Nambour.

The Festival is also supported by L'Occitane en Provence, Weekender, Parti, The Film Club and the French Embassy.
The Festival will take place from 6th to 8th May at the region's premier art film venue, the Nambour Art-House Cinema.

This year we will screen four films, which are being brought specially from France for the Festival, with the collaboration of the French Embassy. Details of the films follow.
The opening night will be a gala occasion. Tickets for the opening night include a welcome drink, hot and cold finger food and entertainment.

The Alliance Franaise de la Sunshine Coast is a not-for-profit association which is dedicated to promoting French language and culture on the Sunshine Coast. It is part of a global network of over 1000 alliances.ENSEMBLE C'EST TROP (Together's A Crowd) MA15+ Director: La Frazer, with Nathalie Baye, Pierre Arditi An intergenerational comedy with some top French actors.

CAPITAINE ACHAB (Captain Ahab) MA15+ Director: Philippe Ramos, with Denis Lavant, Jacques Bonnaff A re-interpretation of the early life of main protagonist of the classic novel Moby Dick.

LA PRINCESSE DE MONTPENSIER (The Princess of Montpensier) MA15+ Director:Bertrand Tavernier, with Mlanie Thierry, Lambert Wilson Bertrand Tavernier is in top form with this gripping, superbly mounted drama set against the savage Catholic/Protestant wars that ripped France apart in the 16th century.

Based on a novella by the celebrated Madame de Lafayette, the action centers on the love of Marie de Mezires for her dashing cousin Henri de Guise.

UNE EXECUTION ORDINAIRE An Ordinary Execution) M Director: Marc Dugain, with Andr Dussollier, Marina Hands, Edouard Baer This compelling feature dbut from Marc Dugain imaginatively recalls the last days of Stalin's dictatorship, delving into the lives of people caught-up in the mlstrom of Stalin's infamous Doctors' Plot.

No complimentary passes are valid for Festival screenings.
