Media Release from theatre 's' for the Noosa Longweekend

AUDITIONS will be held on the 18th February from 7:30pm for the play Birthrights by David Williamson. This production will be the Queensland premiere for the Noosa Longweekend from June 18 to 27, 2004. Director Mary-Ann Vale is looking for experienced actors only, who will be required to learn an assigned speech or scene for the audition. Two of the six parts are cast with professional actors from Sydney who performed in the world premiere production. Rehearsals start part-time in late April and will require the cast to be available for full-time rehearsal in the last two weeks leading up to the performances.
The action of the play covers 19 years and, due to the nature of the relationships portrayed, certain physical characteristics are required. Four local actors are needed to fill the following roles: 1F (mother) to play from 52 to 71 years old; 1F (sister) with dark hair to play from 25 to 44 years old; 1F (daughter) with dark hair to play 18 years old; and 1M (husband) to play from 35 to 54 years old.
For further information and to book your audition, phone 5449 2625.
