Come along to Cooran Acoustic Night on Saturday 21st March for an Autumn Equinox special. An incredible first 2015 concert in February featured a world-class juggler, rising star Jimmy Davis (pictured), local duo Minor Elite (who topped Triple J unearthed), ukelele bands, the Pomona Choir, the Sunshine Hinterland Orchestra for Children, an emerging solo violinist and an African kora + harp duet to name but a few of the performers who graced the Cooran Hall stage and delighted a large crowd. Who knows what special smorgasbord of artistic talent the March 21st evening will attract? What is certain is it will be eclectic, humble and unlike anything else you've seen.
All genres and levels of experience are welcome to share their talents and create a night of local, raw and special entertainment. Performers fill an open chalkboard from 7pm (get in early). Bring the family and grab an affordable dinner and/or dessert from the chefs at Better Food Better You. It's an evening sure to warm your heart and delight your ears. Cooran Memorial School of Arts Hall on King Street, doors open 7pm, $4 entry (kids free), great door prize to be won. Cooran Acoustic Night is on facebook, like us to stay in the loop.
