Storytime (Preschoolers)

Storytime is a program designed for preschool aged children and their parents or carers.  Each 45 minute session consists of singing, rhyming, reading and age relevant creative play.

This program is a fun way to encourage language and listening skills, promote attention and curiosity, and develop your child's manual ability and creativity.

Wriggle, Giggle, Read (Toddlers)

Thursday    10-10.30am    Noosaville

Babes in Arms

Reading and talking with your baby are just two ways to give your child the best start in learning and literacy.  Practice songs, rhymes and baby talk - for parents with babies from newborn to 18 months.

Half hour sessions are held in 4-weekly rounds, at both Noosaville and Cooroy Libraries from 10.30-11am. NOTE: Babes in Arms does not run during school holiday periods.

These library sessions reinforce the things you do at home that contribute to your child's reading, writing and literacy skills: singing or saying nursery rhymes, tapping to the rhythm, telling stories about ‘when you were little’, or pointing out objects, colours, words on signs, are all simple everyday practices, laying the foundations for literacy.
