If you need help and want to learn some simple, easy-to-follow steps to produce abundance with a minimum of time, money and energy, then join presenter Anne Gibson, The Micro Gardener for a tips-and-techniques packed practical workshop that will inspire you to get started or build on what you already know: - learn ways to save money and be more sustainable by growing food you love to eat and make your own garden supplies. - find out how to save time and avoid expensive mistakes by learning about the special needs of small gardens. - be inspired with new ideas for pots and containers, growing indoors/outdoors and multi-purpose edible gardens.
The workshop will focus on: 1. Design – Wise use of space and resources including vertical gardens. 2. Choosing Plants – that meet your particular needs and what grows well in pots and small spaces. 3. Special needs of small gardens – Fertilising, watering and maintenance to grow nutrient dense food.
So, ‘dig in’ and come and see how easy it is to make your own potting mix, plant up a salad garden in a repurposed container, plant for year round abundance and through clever design, have colour, beauty and fragrance in your edible garden.
Weather dependent, the workshop will include a tour of the community garden plots. Bookings required. RSVP to Maroochy Neighbourhood Centre – Ph: 07 5443 6696 to register your interest. Limit 40 people.
