Bats Theatre Co. is proud to present one of the all time classics , some would consider the finest dramatic play of the 20th century, Arthur Miller's
"The Crucible"

Loosely based on the witchcraft trials of Salem and drawing comparisons to the McCarthy political witchhunts of the 50's and 60's, Miller masterfully blends fiction with fact and creates a compelling and disturbing play that will entrance, shock, and move the audience. Theatre goers are urged to come and see this production of high class entertainment not only for it's superb charactersation and excellence of performance but for  the sheer immensity of the play's strength and ability to move.

Director Peta Beattie, a well respected drama instructor, has chosen an amazing cast ranging in ages from 12 to 60 something that  comprises a stunning lineup of highly talented actors including well known theatrical identity and BYTES youth theatre director,  Robyn Ernst , as well as high class performer and professional actor, Tim Page fresh from his stint in the Castle at Noosa, and known by many as the stuffy Dr Steele from the Young Doctors in the 70's.  Bats president John McMahon and husband and wife team John and Val Woodrow also form part of the stellar cast.
