Ever wondered how to become a writer, a painter, dancer, or a musician?  Or, if you have made it a certain way along the track :  written a book, made a body of paintings, taken more than a few dance steps, started playing in a band - you do  not know which way to go next ?

Here is your chance to hear the low-down from the horse's mouth.  The experts are coming to Noosa Shire to hear your needs and to advise you on which way to head.  In conjunction with the RADF committee Noosa Council is conducting two forums :  at Cooroy on Sunday, March 21st and at Peregian Beach on Monday, March 22nd.

The Cooroy Forum will be held between 1.00 and 5.00 pm at the Cooroy Memorial Hall and will feature speakers from the Queensland Artworkers Alliance, Q Music and Ausdance.  The second gathering will be held at the Peregian Beach Bowls Club between 6.00 and 9.30 pm with speakers from the Artworkers Alliance, Q Music and the Queensland Writers Centre.

Organisers promise the forums will not be boring talkfests.  Speakers will address specific art forms and then respond more generally to issues such as business planning, marketing, career development, common blockages in career development, funding and commercial opportunities -- as well as any particular issues raised by participants.

The third stage of each forum will offer individual consultation with organisations and assistance from Noosa Council arts staff on funding issues and  Regional Arts Development Funding applications.

Participants will be rewarded with a light meal and entertainment to help them digest all the vital information consumed during the evening -- and the whole thing is free

To book to attend a forum or for further details, please contact Vanessa Doolan at Noosa Council on 5449 5246 or email :
