Who else has wondered what it would be like to be a personal trainer?
From tuna and rice munching bodybuilders in skimpy singlets and short shorts, to corporate consulting professionals. From the occasionally trainer seen in gyms, to the prime time slot on TV every night of the week! (shows like - The Biggest Loser, What's good for me? etc)
It seems personal training is the hottest new career and we'll tell you why...
Being able to inspire people to transform their life for the better is a really amazing thing. The question I have for you is -- What would you do if you knew there was a 'fast track' to this exciting new career? Would you want to find out more?
"A paramedic battles to bring people back from the dead on a regular basis. As a Personal Trainer not only do I get to save lives every single day, but I get to do something really exciting. I get to help people achieve their wildest dreams, things that often seem way out of reach."
"It's more than fitness, it's life. Some are just living it and others are really making the most of it, and I get to be a part of that -- it's exciting and I love it!" Says George Momcilovic -- Director of Success & Accomplishment down at Fitness Evolution (exclusive personal training studio - Maroochydore), and Sunshine Coast Campus Director for the AIPT (Australian Institute of Personal Trainers -- leaders in turning friendly, caring and passionate people into fantastic personal trainers).
There's an 'Information Night' 7pm Wednesday 27 May 09 (details at www.PTFastTrack.com.au), so that people can have all the questions answered personal by George Momcilovic -- Director of Success & Accomplishment down at Fitness Evolution (exclusive personal training studio -- Maroochydore since early 2004), and Sunshine Coast Campus Director for the AIPT (Australian Institute of Personal Trainers)
The Australian Institute of Personal Trainers (AIPT) has a unique 'fast track' course that not only trains you to be a leading personal trainer, but you don't even have to give up your day job to do it. With this exciting program resulting in 90% of its students employed in the industry when they graduate (with a large number graduates having employment before completion of their studies) -- why?
With AIPT you learn from successful personal trainers within the fitness industry that know what the industry wants in its personal trainers, as opposed to the traditional training institution model. And with the implementation of their 'fast track' course, students quickly pick up the skills of experienced personal trainers so the step between learning and earning is brief.
Is there a market there for personal trainers? 1 in 2 Australian adults is overweight! And that's only one of our target demographics. Even the Australian Government is through money at fitness and healthy lifestyle programs in an environment of economic downturn. Most have seen the impact an extra 5, 10, 20kgs has on someone's life (and at least half of us have experienced it first hand) -- (check out the governments advert on the measure up campaign here http://www.measureup.gov.au/internet/abhi/publishing.nsf )
Apprehensions of people thinking about this exciting avenue --
I'm not fit enough -- Although it is important to have a high level of fitness, being a great personal trainer is for people that are passionate and committed to helping others. You can become a personal trainer whether you are at your peak fitness or even if you're just starting on the journey.
I don't know if I can lead people -- Leading people is an exciting opportunity and the skills to do it are learnt, not something you are just born with.
