Robina Courtin has been a Tibetan Buddhist nun for thirty-one years. These days based in San Francisco, she is the executive director of the Liberation Prison Project and works with people in prisons all over the world. Born in Australia, an award-winning film, Chasing Buddha, documents her life and includes her work at Kentucky State Prison. She is one of the subjects of an ABC Television Australian Story, Vicki Mackenzie's Why Buddhism? and a film by Christine Lundberg, On the Road Home.
