Sunshine Coast residents have just days to enter a $1.3 million BoysTown charity draw. The draw, which includes a luxurious Moffatt Beach home overlooking the ocean, closes on Wednesday 29 February 2012.
The draw aims to raise funds for disadvantaged children, young people and families across Australia, including those in the Sunshine Coast region.
The home’s outstanding design and prime location will be definite drawcards to enter, according to BoysTown’s General Manager Fundraising, Keith Coventry.
“On first glance, you can’t help but be impressed by its striking exterior. The mix of cool whites, natural timbers and sleek clean lines is certainly very pleasing to the eye.
“Once inside, it quickly becomes apparent that clever design has also been used throughout the interior of the property.”
Keith said the home had been carefully designed to maximise ocean views and breezes.
“The heart of the home is the main kitchen, living and dining area, which flows out to an expansive timber deck and alfresco entertainment area. This is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy glimpses of the ocean and ocean breezes.”
Keith said the spacious two-level home featured four bedrooms, three bathrooms and a home office.
“The residence also includes an additional living area downstairs, complete with its own kitchenette and bathroom. This area opens out to an inviting pool and undercover entertainment area.
“What a great place for the kids or teenagers to enjoy themselves, while the adults relax upstairs.”
Keith said the property was situated in a quiet residential street, just two minutes walk to Moffat Beach. Alfresco cafes, markets, shopping and schools are located nearby.
The home is located at 18 Bennett Street, Moffat Beach. The total value of the first prize package is $1,378,121, which includes $110,000 in gold bullion, $77,774 in furniture and electrical and a $4,000 travel voucher. The home is open for ticket sales and viewing until Wednesday, 29 February. The draw will take place on Friday, 2 March. Tickets are $15 each and are also available via www.boystown.com.au.
Funds raised will go towards BoysTown’s charitable services which include Kids Helpline, Australia’s only 24 hour crisis counselling service for children and young people; domestic violence and homeless refuges; and employment and training services for disadvantaged young Australians.
