October is Breast Awareness Month and to celebrate Noosa Library and the Queensland Cancer Fund have organised a 'Power of Pink' morning tea, to be held on Tuesday, 17th October, starting at 10.00.
Members of the public are invited to a morning of entertainment with two very special guest speakers :
• Former Olympian and dedicated public speaker Raelene Boyle will use her high profile as an athlete to raise awareness about cancer.
• Breastscreen Queensland Director Dr Debra Pfeiffer will discuss the benefits of early diagnosis of Breast Cancer.
The Buderim Historical Society at Pioneer House has kindly loaned the Library an exhibition of heritage lingerie for the event and Glenda from Lady Bird Lingerie in Noosa Junction will discuss how to choose the right underwear.
To help that choice, the Noosa Library will offer one lucky member of the audience two gift vouchers from Lady Bird Lingerie. Entry forms are available from the Library and Lady Bird - and entrants must be at the morning tea to be eligible to win a prize.
A delicious morning tea is promised in return for a gold coin donation to the Queensland Cancer Fund.
