Awards recognise outstanding business women
Nominations are in, finalists have been selected and the countdown has begun for this year's much anticipated and highly contended Business Woman of the Year Awards to be held at the newly revamped Events Centre at Maroochy RSL on Tuesday, August 11.
A prominent event on the business calendar and noted for its professionalism, the prestigious awards recognise and celebrate the many achievements of women from a diverse range of industries and the invaluable contribution they make to business and the community.
Sunshine Coast Business Women's Network President, Sue Willis says that each year the awards attract a high calibre of business women and it is an achievement unto itself to be nominated and selected.
"We are very fortunate to have so many exceptional business women on the Sunshine Coast. This year's finalists are all amazing women, who impress and inspire with their strength, dedication and accomplishments", said Sue.
The awards have become recognised as the most prestigious for Sunshine Coast business women and are highly sought after, which was reflected in the record number of nominations and submissions received this year.
The award categories include corporate, micro/small business, professional and young business woman, with the overall winner taking home the title of Outstanding Business Woman of the Year.
"From business owners to corporate leaders, to innovators, community visionaries and successful young women, the Sunshine Coast Business Woman of Year winners have all come from a wonderfully diverse set of backgrounds and experiences," said Sue.
"Many of the past winners have gone on to become finalists of, and even as far as to win, the state and national Telstra Business Awards."
The major sponsors for this year's awards include the Sunshine Coast Daily, The University of the Sunshine Coast Faculty of Business, Garland Waddington Solicitors, ANZ and Telstra Country Wide.
Final preparations are now well underway for the gala event to be held on August 11. Bookings are limited and close on Thursday, August 6, so be sure to reserve your table by calling Chelsea Hunter on 0412 525 854
