Caloundra City Libraries celebrate Seniors!
Whether you're into bellydancing, meditation, or like spinning a good yarn, Caloundra City Libraries has something for older folk of all persuasions as part of annual Seniors Week activities later this month.
Caloundra City Mayor Don Aldous said there are a range of activities happening at all branches from Monday 20 August through to Friday 24 August as part of this year's Seniors Week.
"Seniors Week is a great time to pay tribute to and recognise the wide variety of skills and talents that our older residents contribute to our community," Cr Aldous said.
"Seniors play an important role in shaping our society and have a great deal of knowledge and experience to share, and this is a way to say thanks and provide opportunities for social interaction, physical activity and further skills development."
Cr Aldous said the Library activities will complement a host of other activities across the City, including the annual Volunteers Morning Tea at The Events Centre.
