Casino Royale Conquers Cancer Fedoras, feather boas and casino chips will be on the table when the Sunshine Coast comes together on Friday 15th July at the Pelican Waters Golf Club for a 1920’s themed Casino Royale fundraiser.
The event is being held as a part of local fundraising efforts for the Rio Tinto Ride to Conquer Cancer, which covers 200kms throughout the Queensland countryside in August this year.
Funds raised will support breakthrough research, exemplary teaching, and compassionate care at the Queensland Institute of Medical Research, a worldwide leader in cancer research and one of the largest research institutes in the southern hemisphere.
Organisers would love to see locals get behind the event and have kept the price of tickets very affordable. The $60 entry fee includes a welcome drink, canapés, casino tables including Blackjack, Roulette and Texas Hold em Poker, prizes, giveaways and a High Rollers Auction.
Live entertainment is certainly going to be a hit with Frank Sinatra classics heading the song list. This is definitely not a night to be missed, so it’s time to don your fedora, find a feather boa and practice your best poker face.
