On September 1st, why not celebrate Father's Day at a most Pleasant Sunday Afternoon concert in the CCSA Hall, Nutley St., Caloundra.
Starting at 2pm, this concert will showcase a wide variety of acts and great local talent.
The artists include Lyn and Robert Armstrong, who are well known around the coast for their performances in Reviews, Cabaret shows, and more recently as owners of “Velvet Waters”,- a live theatre restaurant in Caloundra, where they developed a Tribute show focusing on the music of the 50’s and 60’s. Singers will be baritone Kelsey Brookes, Bev Gourlay, Aart Schouten, and young Erica Boccino. Instrumentalists will be violin teacher Donna McMahon, and talented young Lever brothers Caleb on clarinet and Jayden on cello. Completing the variety will be Maria Lindsay and Wendy Marks doing something funny, so they say.
Neil Booth will be the accompanist as usual, as well as injecting his own variety of humour to the afternoon.
These concerts raise funds for the Caloundra Chorale. Admission is $9 or only $5 for Friends or Members of the Chorale.
There's no need to book, just pay at the door.
We average around 160 - 200 people , so plan to arrive around 1.30pm to buy a raffle ticket and get your seat.
The concerts generally finish between 4.30pm and 4.45pm.
