Celebrating Tooway is on Sunday 25th June 2006 at Eleanor Shipley Park, Moffat Beach. It starts at 10am and goes through until 2pm. The idea of Celebrating Tooway is to promote care of the environment, our community, our heritage and our beaches.
The day will be a free family fun day with a musical playground, face painters, a local history photographic display, the Gecko Wildlife Show, a Wildlife Preservation Society display, Kawana Waters State College S.K.I.T. Roving theatrical entertainment and family orientated interactive entertainment.
There will also be a sausage sizzle and surfing memorabilia display put on by the Caloundra Malibu Club.
The Tooway Lake Catchment Care Group is a group of locals who are interested in preserving our little bit of Earth and doing what they can to keep the lake and its catchment in as pristine a condition as possible. We have local business people, houswives, workers, students, retirees, even councillors as members of the group and all pitch in as best as they can to take care of the Tooway Lake catchment.
