Tuesday 2 August to unveil the new and improved Keith Royal Park in
Councillor Debbie Blumel has extended an invitation to the community to join her in the Park to check out the great work delivered by council’s parks and garden crew.
“This is a wonderful opportunity to acknowledge what can be achieved when communities work with council; providing their views, ideas and feedback on designs and plans,” Cr Blumel said.
The Keith Royal Park upgrade includes a new drinking fountain, a double barbecue, timber shelter and rubbish bins. For the kids – and the big kids – there is a new cricket pitch, climbing rope pyramid rope and extended playground with soft landing bark. A fenced ‘dog-off-leash’ area, complete with exercise equipment, has also been incorporated for the four-legged friends in the community; providing something for everyone!
“So come on down – bring a plate, test out the play equipment and shelter as we fire up the new barbecue,” Cr Blumel said.
“If you’ve got a four-legged friend you think might like to road-test the equipment in the new dog off-leash area, bring them along as well.
“I’m also hoping some keen cricketers will join us. It would be great to make up a team willing to try out the new synthetic (Gabba grass) pitch - which I’m reliably informed provides that all important consistent bounce.
“Please join me at 11am – bring a plate and come along and have some fun.”
