Pirates at Book Week
Children's Book Week will take on a piratical note this year, with the Noosa Library organising a pirate ferry trip out onto the briny on the afternoon of Tuesday, August 24th.
As the Library has its very own miniature replica of the famous Riverlight Ferry, staff have chosen the Riverlight for a one-hour river cruise, leaving Noosa Harbour Marine Village at 3.30.
During the voyage parents and children will be a captive audience for a notorious storytelling musical pirate band. The Riverlight Ferry Cap'n has promised to return all captives at 4.30 pm but beware : the Noosa Library Pirates will be demanding a gold coin donation for a very good cause.
The whole performance will be repeated on Thursday, August 26th, same time, same harbour, same fee, same pirates behaving badly.
Parents and primary school children are invited to join the Noosa Library Pirates and the ferry bosuns by contacting the Library to book their seats. Don't delay, book ye ticket today on 5442 4411. Children must be five years or over and be accompanied by an adult and please note that the Riverlight Ferry will set sail promptly at 3.30 both afternoons from Noosa Harbour Marine Village in Parkyn Court, Tewantin.
