The True meaning of Christmas brought to life
Once again the streets of Bokarina have been lit up for a truly incredible Christmas experience. The area from Beach Drive to Thunderbird Drive once again is alight with hundreds of fairy lights with local houses and even the Church lighting up for now the 7th year in row.
This year the Festival of Lights will once again include The Christmas Festival held by Kawana Waters Uniting Church and will feature all the favourite elements from previous festivals with the live animals, entertainment for the whole family and of course the tea, coffee, cordial and homemade biscuits.
This year's living storybook inside the church will be " The First Christmas" a wonderful and colourful experience for children or those young at heart. There will be a two storey set inside as well as live actors telling you the story, as you wonder and marvel as the story comes alive before your eyes. As you experience the true meaning of Christmas and celebrate with all the characters as they share their story with you.
Jenny Munns, the festival Coordinator, hopes that this year's festival will be better and bigger than last years. We hope to draw in more than our 14,500 last year. We hope that many local or not so local families will come here and experience the true meaning of Christmas.
The festival will run nightly from the Saturday 11th of December until Christmas Eve from 7-9.30 pm at Kawana Water Uniting Church, Thunderbird Drive, Bokarina.
The Festival will open on the 11th of December this year with a Grand Parade starting at 7.00pm from the top of Beach Drive to the church where the display will open and refreshments will be served.
