People realise they need to reduce their energy, water and waste needs in their businesses but often don't know where to start. Speakers at this seminar will provide practical information on how to adopt environmentally-conscious and sustainable business practices. Funding options will also be outlined.

Tourism Queensland
Monica Groenert, Regional Director

Monica will provide an overview of Tourism Queensland's recently launched Sustainability and Climate Change website designed specifically for small businesses. A number of sustainability tools applicable to all businesses, not just those engaged in tourism, will be explored.

Queensland Tourism Industry Council
Kim Harrington, Business Development and Policy Manager

Kim will provide a brief overview of the different forums where business interests are represented both state-wide and nationally.

Environmental Protection Agency
Michelle Oliver, Principal Project Officer

The Environmental Protection Agency's ecoBiz program helps businesses improve their eco-efficiency. Michelle will explain how ecoBiz helps businesses invest in, implement and profit from eco-efficiency measures.
Michelle will also explain rebates for eligible ecoBiz participants to support eco-efficiency initiatives, and how ecoBiz works to assist its partners to become more sustainable.

Waterbreath Retreat
Scott Dunbar, Owner

Scott will discuss the development of Waterbreath Retreat, a sustainable eco-tourism business located in Crystal Water's Permaculture Village. This village has been designed on sustainable, holistic living principles.

EC3 Global
Melinda Watt, Vice President, Relationship Manager

Melinda will outline the range of products advisory group EC3 Global provides to businesses to set, manage and achieve sustainability targets.
