Col is so at home on stage whether it be as one of his alter ego's, e.g. "Chooka" the roadie (who's not quite in the driver's seat), political satire or conversational comedy, or picking his guitar and singing one of his outrageous ditties.
His audience is diverse to say the least; 18 year olds sit along side sixty year olds. It's been that way from the beginning.
In one breath he can be totally outrageous in the next breath he can really make you think. He can't be pigeon holed.
His latest creation is "Briden Backpack". A hip camp cowboy who is president of "The Country and precious Western Club of Australia". Briden doesn't do the Charlie Daniel's hit song "The Devil went down to Georgia", his version "Bruce went down to Sydney" must be heard to be believed.
