The Harbourside Gallery, Noosa Marina  is proud to  showcase the vibrant oil and acrylic paintings of local Sunrise beach Artist Chris Hobel.  

This exhibition will highlight Chris’ uplifting paintings which are inspired by nature. They are noted for their rich and stunning colour impact, ranging from local beach scenes to colourful flowers and European vistas.

Both a figurative and abstract painter, Chris’ current works are highly textured impasto painted using a palette knife. Constantly experimenting with new mediums and ways to apply them to her work, it is the journey of exploration which motivates this experienced artist and qualified tutor,

Chris has  authored over 30 published instructional features for a popular national art magazine for over 20 years, the latest published this month in “Australian Decorative Painting and Fine Art” Vol 19 No 9.

Noted for her versatility, the award winning artist has  several art related blogs and has sold many paintings online with a consistent  following of her versatile work.
Chris will be holding an introductory palette knife demonstration on the 23rd May from 10 am to 12 pm.Then there will be a workshop for beginners on the 30th of May from 10 am to 1 pm.  Both at the gallery. For details phone
