Deb Neill - Winner in Photo Print category

The opening of the 2014 'Colours of the Carnivale' exhibition at Discover Eumundi Heritage and Visitor Centre on Sunday 22 June saw the announcement of this year's Australian Body Art Carnivale Photography Competition winners.

The award winners are Deb Neill in the Photo Print category and Carly Head in the Digital Art Print category. Trevor Crossley won the Highly Commended Award for his submissions.

Manager of Discover Eumundi Wendy Birrell says the exhibition will be on display until Sunday 20 July, and features all the entries and winning images from the Australian Body Art Carnivale photographic competition, in both photo print and digital categories, sponsored by Canon and Noosa Camera House.

"Visitors to the exhibition can choose their favourite image and vote in the People's Choice category up until 20 July," Wendy says.

"The Carnivale really is a dream for photographers – with phenomenal picture opportunities in every direction, and such an abundance of colour and creativity," she says.

"The exhibition showcases a display of prints as well as a digital slide show of images from the whole Carnivale that really captures the breadth of talent showcased at the ever-growing community art event."

"Also on display are a number of the 'All Dolled Up' entries - creatively revamped dolls in the Dreams and Nightmares theme, plus a step back in time with an area showing a little history of the event including last year's outstanding winning airbrushed Car Bonnet art piece"
