27 July 2005 Funds up for grabs in Annual Grants Program
Around $160,000 in funding is now available to the community through Caloundra City Council's 2005/2006 Annual Grants Program.
Mayor Don Aldous said Caloundra City organisations and individuals who make a positive contribution to the community are invited to apply for the grants.
"Council's Annual Grants Program assists local organisations and individuals that currently provide a wide range of services, facilities and developmental opportunities for the City's community," Cr Aldous said.
"The work all these organisations and individuals do for the community is often limited by money, which is why Council's Annual Grants Program is such a valuable avenue for assistance.
"It's important that Council continues to recognise the positive contribution made by these organisations and individuals to the quality of life in Caloundra City."
Funding is available in five categories: Community Services ($45,000), Culture and Heritage ($20,000), Environment ($30,000), Sport and Recreation ($50,000) and Young People ($15,000).
