Noosa Arts Christmas Play - Cuddle Kingdom's Christmas Magic
Cuddle Kingdom's Christmas Magic is a delightful children's musical about magical Christmas toys. It has an array of characters that children will love. There are cuddly animals like The White Rabbit, The Friendly Lion and The Teddy Bear. Like every good children's story there are fairies, a Sorceress and a clown. This story also has a modern touch with androids and Autotrans.
Children can also empathise with Wendy the little girl who owns all the toys and who all the toys love.
This play is a very special project of Nelson Tomlin who has worked in theatre for thirty years both here and in New Zealand. He knows what good theatre is and has helped to create wonderful theatrical experiences at Noosa Arts Theatre with his lighting and set designs. Nelson's lyrics have been put to some beautiful, evocative original music by Bruno Alcouffe.
Johanna Wallace, the Director of Cinderella, has a passion for developing the emerging generation of actors. She currently teaches drama at the Sunshine Coast Academy of Dance and Dramatic Arts and Global Village Noosa, an International English College. Johanna directed Cinderella at Noosa Arts Theatre in 2009.
Johanna is delighted to be directing Cuddle Kingdom
"Cuddle Kingdom's Magic Christmas is a timeless story, a tale of a nursery of toys that come to life at night, an enchanted sorceress, a beautiful fairy and little girl who loved her toy rabbit the very best of all,' says Johanna.
"The cast age ranges from seven years to fifty with several family members playing alongside one another."
"The show will be a visual delight, full of magical surprises as the story unfolds through song, dance and play."
