No Politics in Cupcakes!
The office of Queensland Senator Russel Trood is the latest workplace to get involved in the biggest bake-off in the Southern Hemisphere - Cupcake Day for the RSPCA!
The good Senator, pictured here with RSPCA Shelter resident Riley who is very keen on cupcakes, is not the chef of choice for the event. However, in true political fashion he's delegated that honour to a staff member.
Monday 17th August is the time to don your chef's hat and sell your homemade or store-bought cupcakes to your friends, family and colleagues and help raise money for RSPCA Qld. It's up to you what you charge. How about $2 each or three for $5? You can even ask your company to match the funds raised by you. In Queensland there are already over twice the number of cupcake cooks registered as last year, so it's shaping up to be a major fundraiser for the cash strapped charity.
Last year, a record 250,000 cupcakes were sold across Australia! This year we want to ice that total and add hundreds and thousands! Let your imagination run free and decorate your cakes like animals! The most creative designs could win fantastic prizes!
Most Creative Cupcake - RSPCA Cupcake Merchandise Pack awarded to one lucky entrant with the most creative, crazy and clever cupcake.
Extreme Cupcake Eating - $100 Red Balloon Day voucher to one entrant or a nominated team member in Queensland who takes cupcake eating to a whole new level.
Most Money Raised - Cupcake Day trophy will be awarded to the entrant or team who donates the most money for cupcake sales in Queensland.
Register now-it's easy and it's free! Once you have registered, a Cupcake Cook Kit with everything you need to promote your Cupcake Day will arrive in the post before you can say "I love cooking cupcakes!" OK, well not too long after that. For more information or to register visit www.rspcacupcakeday.com.au or call 3426 9932.
