Come along to Cotton Tree Aquatic Centre for a movie experience like no other -- a 'dive-in' screening of popular animated family comedy 'Despicable Me' (PG)' on Saturday 26 March.

NB We tried to screen Sat 5 March but wet weather forced a reschedule to Sat 26 March. Fingers crossed we have better luck this time!

Cotton Tree Aquatic Centre Manager Michael Vidulich says adults will love this story as much - if not more - than their little ones.

"Despicable Me is LOL funny throughout, warm, sometimes silly, and guaranteed good fun," says Michael.

"And what better place to watch the movie than in the pool on a hot March night?," he says. "For those that don't want to get wet, we have plenty of room to watch the movie on dry land".

The Cotton Tree Aquatic Centre doors will open to moviegoers from 6pm, with the screening starting around 7.00pmish. BYO floaties, noodles, lilos for the pool, or blanket, beanbag or chairs. Inflatable chairs and beanbags will be available for hire. Lifeguards will be on hand to assist with pool supervision.

"The cost is only $8 per person, and free for children under 3 years of age," says Michael. "The price includes pool entry after 6pm"

Please note that all minors under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult. No alcohol, food, or glass will be allowed into the centre. Food, drink and sausage sizzle will be available for purchase on the night.

Cotton Tree Aquatic Centre is home to the Adventure Water Park featuring interactive water features including spray fountains, a water cannon, the Spiral Tunnel and the Mega Soaker! Other amazing features of the Water Park are the Tuney Trio (three sets of water soakers), the Geyser, Tidal Wave and Power Spray Activator. This will be operating from 6pm until 7pm on the night of the dive-in movie screening.

A bit about the movie...
In a happy suburban neighbourhood complete with white picket fences and rose bushes, sits a black house with a dead lawn. Hidden beneath this home is a vast secret hideout. Surrounded by a small army of minions, is the villain Gru, planning the biggest heist in the history of the world -- he is going to steal the moon. Armed with his arsenal of shrink rays, freeze rays, and battle-ready vehicles for land and air, he vanquishes all who stand in his way. Until the day he encounters the immense will of three little orphaned girls who look at him and see something that no one else has ever seen: a potential Dad. The world's greatest villain has just met his greatest challenge: three little girls named Margo, Edith and Agnes.
