You’ve heard of the everyday ‘Car Wash’ fundraiser, well when it comes to helping out a Dog Charity there is only one kind of wash to do – A ‘Dog Wash’.

Pure Paws will be holding a ‘DOG WASH’ Fundraiser where pups will be made squeaky clean at their Buderim Salon.  All proceeds will be going towards Sunshine Coast Grammar’s teacher, Chris Smith’s fundraising walk raising money for Smart Pups Sunshine Coast.  Pure Paws ‘Dog Wash’ day will take place on Saturday 10th of August between 10am and 3pm.

“We believe the walk that Chris Smith is undertaking is a credit to him and to his determination to help the charity Smart Pups and because of this we wanted to come up with an original way of helping him raise money towards his cause.” said owner Lesley Richards.

Baths will take place, between 10 am and 3 pm on Saturday 10th August, for $10 with all proceeds going to Smart Pups. It will be held at Pure Paws Spa - 88 Gloucester Road Buderim. The Pure Paws Canine Bakery will also have their natural canine cookies for sale and donations will be being taken on the day.

Chris Smith decided on Smart Pups for his chosen charity and has called his walk the “Trek for Tuppence” in honour of his late sister, Angela. “When she was a little girl, Angela was given the special name of "Tuppence" by our father; she was his 'little Tuppence'. Angela suffered from Autism, epilepsy and other disabilities.

About Chris Smith & Smart Pups

Mr Chris Smith (Y6 teacher at Grammar) will do the Coast to Coast walk across England in September (Trek for Tuppence) to raise funds for Smart Pups Assistance dogs. These wonderful dogs provide help for autistic and other disabled children in our community. Please donate at the 'Smart Pups' website under the reference (Tuppence).
Mr Smith has called his walk across England the "Trek for Tuppence" in honour of his late sister (Angela).

When she was a little girl, Angela given the special name of "Tuppence" by their father; she was his 'little Tuppence'. Angela suffered from Autism, epilepsy and other disabilities and she was institutionalised at age seven where special care could be provided. Chris decided to dedicate his trek to helping disabled children in his local community by supporting these amazing assistance dogs.

Chris's Y6 class, the Grammar community and the generous people at the Kathmandu company are right behind Chris in his quest to raise funds for Smart Pups.
