Dragons Abreast Australia National Regatta In June 2016 Dragons Abreast Australia will hold its National Regatta at Lake Kawana. We currently have 38 groups around Australia and sadly this number is growing due to the breast cancer statistic. Our purpose is to promote breast cancer awareness, the benefits of exercise for a healthy lifestyle and education to the Community at large, whilst demonstrating that people can fully participate in life despite physical and emotional limitations as a result of a breast cancer diagnosis.
Our organisation is commonly referred to as the "Human Face" of the breast cancer statistic. We anticipate 450 - 500 participants comprising of survivors and their supporters.
Pink dragon boating provides a very exciting spectacle. Our Flowers on the Water ceremony provides an opportunity to remember those who have lost their lives to this insidious disease. At 12 noon on Saturday 18 June.
