Dream, an Access Gallery exhibition by 5 Sunshine Coast artists

The theme for Mental Health Week 2003 was 'Everyone's Life is a Hero's Journey'

'Dream' is the culmination of one year of personal journey for 5 Sunshine Coast artists who live with mental illness.

Saturday December 20th at 2pm

The year long professional development project - of monthly sessions at the gallery with Maryke Stagg was conceived following Mental Health Week 2002, during which art was featured around the coast as part of localised displays and events.

There are many skilled and developing artists on the coast who continue artistic pursuits during or around their experience of living with a mental illness.

Their art maybe a source of constancy and comfort or an outlet for expressing the other wise inexpressible. It is always a manifestation of individuality. Sometimes it is the actualisation of a dream!

Dream is the theme chosen by this group of artists for their exhibition of works to be launched on Saturday December 20th at 2pm at the Noosa Regional Gallery.

Popular local musicians "Mettaphor" will play at the launch.

Opening by well known local artists  Lisa Adams and Kim Guthrie

Saturday December 20th at 2pm
