We're calling on all Queenslanders to get casual for cancer on Dress Down Day, Friday November 25.

By dressing casually for school or work on or around November 25 and making a donation to the Queensland Cancer Fund, you'll make a significant contribution towards funding programs to improve the lives of Queenslanders affected by cancer.

We hope to raise $130,000 through the support of businesses and schools dressing casually on Dress Down Day.

To get your workplace or school involved click here or phone 1300 65 65 85 during business hours to order a Dress Down Day "Casual Kit" containing donation boxes, posters and participant stickers to wear on the day.

In fact, we'll send you everything you need to have a successful Dress Down Day.

All participating workplaces and schools have the chance to win great random prizes and the grand prize of the "Best Dressed" competition.

By dressing casual on or around November 25, 2005 and making a donation, you will be making a significant contribution to help the Queensland Cancer Fund eliminate cancers and diminish suffering from cancer through research, treatment and patient care.

It's easy to take part!

You can participate in this fundraising event:

At Work

Organise co-workers to dress down for the day and to make a minimum gold coin donation for doing so. You can dress casual or in a theme, or enter our 'Best Dressed' competition. Why not put on a morning tea or barbeque lunch to make the day extra special.

At School

Get permission from your teacher or school principal and organise for your school to have a free-dress day. Ask the students and teachers to make a donation to the Queensland Cancer Fund. You may even like to incorporate Dress Down Day into your end of year celebrations.

At a Function

Combine this fun event with a special function, perhaps your Christmas party. Raise funds however you like - run a raffle or charge a nominal fee to attend.

You may even have another idea how you can join us for Dress Down Day.

When you register you will receive a Casual Kit which includes a money box, posters to publicise how your event and stickers for you to wear so that others will know why you are dressing down.

Best Dressed Competition

Get creative and have even more fun on Dress Down Day and theme your day for the 'Best Dressed' competition. You and your friends could go troppo on the day in Hawaiin shirts, or wear togas instead of suits. Whatever wacky idea you come up with simply get everyone to come along in a themed outfit, take a photo of the participants and send it to:
