April in the Gallery -- something for everyone

Caloundra Regional Art Gallery is hosting new exhibitions throughout April and May along with art workshops specially designed for children.

Leading international artist Olafur Eliasson's The cubic structural evolution project, is part of the Queensland Art Gallery's travelling exhibition and a highlight of their international collection. His installation will be on display from 15 April.

The other new exhibition is Beau Deeley's Divine Moments in Truth. Influenced by art and science, Deeley explores 3D imaging where truths are revealed and imagination becomes reality. Both exhibitions run from Wednesday 15 April to Sunday 31 May. The gallery, located at 22 Omrah Avenue Caloundra, is open Wednesday to Sunday 10am-4pm and entry is free.

Between 10.30am and12pm on Wednesday 15 April the gallery will present an Easter ArtScool event,
'Art Unseen' -- a fun and creative workshop that aims to educate children aged between eight and 15 about vision loss, appreciation of sight and acceptance of visual impairment. The session includes games, painting, beading and creative hands-on activities all with a focus on non-visual sensory stimulation. Cost is $15 and numbers are limited -- for bookings call 5420 8299.
