Special weed workshop with Geoff Black from SCR Council, inspired by the Weeding workshop held for those who participated on Double Island Point Lighthouse refurbishment and rejuvenation program.
Don't miss this chance to learn more about weed identification, the theory behind them and latest Council initiatives on weed eradication - but just as importantly - to enjoy participating in the practical, hands-on weeding workshop to be held around the Environment Centre in the Wallace Park areas.
It is "Gloves On" - to attack the weeds! Meet the teams that lead the Greening Noosa and Wallace Park Weeding Groups and see the newly planted NPA Birdwing Butterfly Vine neighbourhood.

Ecology Aquarist, Graham Webb from SCR Council will give Friday Forum members a chance to hear about the recently completed study on the Health of our Waterways encompassing the Maroochy region including Noosa to Brisbane.
This presentation was first given at the Environment Day at Sunshine Coast University and is geared to inform and entertain those with all levels of prior knowledge, to help them understand more about the value of taking care of our waterways, what is happening to them currently, what needs to happen and which areas are being most successful in maintaining them.
