Eumundi had a butter factory, timber mills, plenty of bullock teams and early hotels. A lot of history remains but the town has re-invented it-self as a market town of world re-known. The walk will discuss how Eumundi became a settlement and the role of original inhabitants, founding families and early industry. The walk will point out some of the original buildings and their links with families from the past. It will return along Memorial Drive, which is dedicated with Heritage Listed trees to the fallen of WW1, to the Heritage and Visitor Centre where people can view displays and the current exhibitions and enjoy light refreshments. The collection also includes contemporary collections such as the history of the Eumundi Markets.

Gubbi Gubbi people including Dr Eve Fesl - At river mouth, meet on path on left hand side of road just before the end of The Spit near River Mouth.
Sun. 20 July    Tewantin Heritage Walk    
George Pearce - Meet at old swimming baths site next to Noosa Harbour Town, Tewantin. Complimentary afternoon tea after walk and photographic display.
Mon. 21 July    Hastings Street Heritage Walk    
Emma Freeman - Meet in the Lion's car park opposite Halse Lodge. Walk will end at historic Halse Lodge where there will be complimentary refreshments.
Tues. 22 July    Mill Point Heritage Walk    
Stephen Nichols    - Meet at the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service office at Elanda Point.
Wed. 23 July    Pomona Heritage Walk    
Gary Thompson - Meet at the Noosa Museum at 29 Factory Street, Pomona. There will be historical displays and refreshments provided at the Noosa Museum at end of walk.

Heritage Walks
All walks begin at 1.00pm. There is no need to book.  Simply turn up.
There is no charge.  These are free Noosa Long Weekend Festival events.
