fabulous free music in partnership with the Australian Body Art
The little town of Eumundi will be bursting with colour, music and creativity when the EUMUNDI LIVE festival brings a stellar assortment of more than 30 Sunshine Coast musicians and touring acts to play live on Saturday 15 and 16 May -- the weekend of the Australian Body Art Carnivale.
The line-up features Sunshine Coast favourites OKA and French Butler Called Smith, as well as Kim Churchill, Khan, Mitch Davis & the Dawn Chorus, Mick McCombe Band, They Are Spies, Jen Mize, Autumn Sun, Harii Bandhu & the BossaNova Cowboys, The Hayden Hack Infusion, Carl Lynch, Dave Cosma, Lara Jane, Nick Latta, Beatronica, Nicole Brophy, Chris Pickering, Matt Gresham, Cookie Baker, The Flumes, Raven's Fire, Andrew Redford, The Green Room, All Strings Attached, Transvaal Diamond Syndicate, Toni Pollard & the Rhythm Method, and for the kiddliwinks...Brett Campbell and the Happy Fun Club.
EUMUNDI LIVE Director Harii Bandhu is excited with the program. "It's a phenomenal line-up of musicians, all keen to create something special on what will unquestionably be one of the most amazing weekends Eumundi has ever seen".
"We love this place and we love the backdrop of Eumundi Markets, so it's really exciting to bring EUMUNDI LIVE to the town, and to partner with the Australian Body Art Carnivale in creating something special for music lovers and lovers of the arts and creativity," he says.
"Music kicks off from 10am each day in Dick Caplick Park, and the best news is that the festival is FREE -- as are all the Carnivale events all day Saturday and Sunday," Harii says.
"A highlight will be the Carnivale Street Party on Saturday from 6pm until 7pm featuring high flying trapeze and aerial artist Cirque Espace, fabulous music from the Pantastic Steel Band as well as performances from the Adrenalin Dance troupe and AGOA Dynamic Movement.
"Another big drawcard will be Latin funksters A French Butler Called Smith -- who are guaranteed to deliver their good time upbeat, party vibes and get everyone grooving into the night," says Harii.
Sunday is a more laid back affair, with bands playing from 10am -- 4.30pm
EUMUNDI LIVE will also operate a licensed bar and merchandise tent on both days.
EUMUNDI LIVE is an initiative of M.A.S.C. (the Music Association of the Sunshine Coast) -- an incorporated non-profit association dedicated to delivering opportunities for our extraordinary Sunshine Coast musical talent to gain greater exposure locally and nationally.
