Experts reveal the secrets of winning events
Sunshine Coast Regional Council is running a series of workshops for the community on how to run successful events, with tips from leading media professionals including Channel 7's Rosanna Natoli and ABC Radio's Cam Young.
Community organisations who attend will be inspired to create new events, increase community engagement and network with other event organisers across the region.
Council's Community Events and Celebrations Manager, Michael Bloyce, said the workshops covered planning, marketing, funding, sponsorship and media.
"These workshops provide a great opportunity for community event organisers and committee members to gain practical advice and skills that will help them to organise better, brighter events," he said.
"We aim to provide a range of topics and presenters to inspire and inform event organisers and their organisations."
Council's new Community Events and Celebrations Unit staff will also be on hand to meet organisers and answer questions on event planning, he said.
