Nearly three decades after the fabulous Everly Brothers received their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, their music is being kept alive thanks to the amazing talents of the internationally acclaimed tribute show, Forever Everly.
This show is described by critics as "the closest thing you'll get to the Brothers", with a slick performance that has audiences re-living an evening of nostalgia, with the wonderful music and soaring harmonies that made The Everly Brothers so famous.
Forever Everly features David Lee-Jay and Martin Norris who are both entertainers with a vast wealth of experience and are supported on stage by their own band, Logan’s Heroes. This fantastic tribute act is in much demand as evidenced by their tours throughout Australia, UK and USA and even on world cruises aboard P&0’s classic cruise liners The Oriana and The Aurora.
The show recreates the atmosphere, looks and soaring harmonies of The Everly Brothers and features just some of the 750 songs that they recorded over their illustrious careers including Walk Right Back, Cathy’s Clown, Dream, Claudette, Cryin’ in the Rain, Bye Bye Love, Love Hurts and Wake Up Little Susie. You will also hear some of their country recordings, rock and roll songs, and of course their beautiful ballads.
Audiences throughout the world have loved this show and are always surprised that they knew almost all of the songs - they just didn’t always realise that they were Everly Brother’s songs!
The Everly Brothers were the influence behind many of the world’s greatest artists including Paul McCartney, Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys, Simon and Garfunkel and many more. They brought ground breaking harmonies to the world of popular music and people of all ages know their songs. This show will appeal to everyone, from the baby boomers who grew up with the music through to the youngsters of today who know the songs through the cover versions recorded by today’s artists.
