Eyes wide shut gives the ultimate rainforest experience
You don't need to have your eyes wide open to get the most out of a visit to Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve - Just ask Adam Thompson.
Mr Thompson, a blind man, visited the reserve last year and was so impressed by his experience he wrote about it.
Now he has turned his story into a speech - Exploring a Mountain Rainforest without Sight - and will share his experience with others.
His speech, which took out the top award at his Toastmasters club, focuses on the things you can experience without sight, such as sounds, smells and textures.
Mr Thompson will deliver his speech at Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve on Saturday July 22 at 10am at a cost of $4 for adults and children under 12 free.
