Handfelted large white paj silk wrap workshop with Wendy Bailye.
The combination of 18 micron wool and paj silk is a match made in heaven. Wendy Bailye will teach you skills to make this lovely wrap. Embellished with silk fibre and fabrics this is a classic wrap that with the right care will last a lifetime and be a family heirloom. The wrap is large and you are the designer! By limiting colours you can concentrate on the design, texture and techniques.
This is a felt class suitable for all skill levels! It requires a moderate amount of physical work rubbing and rolling the felt.
Students are to bring:
•two old towels or shammy
•two plastic grocery bags
•wear old clothes and shoes that won’t mind a splash of water.
Other materials and equipment are included in the cost of the course.
Testimonials for Wendy’s workshops:
“Wendy has to be one of the best "Educational Facilitators" I have come across. I lectured Vis Arts @ Uni and taught in T.A.F.E. and Adult Ed for many years and there are not many who have the care and patience for their students that Wendy has. Her knowledge of subject was also superb as was her ability to share that. Thanks for providing the opportunity for us all to share this experience.” Shirley
“Really enjoyed Wendy's flower workshop last Saturday...... a nice, clear. relaxed tutor and class, one of the best I have been to.” Pauline (Victoria)
“I wanted to thank you very much for organizing these wonderful workshops! I spent such a fantastic day on Sunday with you, Wendy and the other women who were attending the bag workshop. It was definitely one of the best days I have had in a long time: it was so relaxing and so much fun! I am so happy you gave me the opportunity to learn a technique that I have always been curious about. Learning this amazing technique with Wendy has made me realise the endless possibilities it offers and how creative it enables us to be! Thank you so much again for everything!” Delphine (Victoria)
