Throw yourself into the experience of FESTURI 2007.
FESTURI 2007 opened its doors to Sunshine Coast on the 17th of August with 'The Light of the Sunset', an art exhibition hosting Redouane Bernaz, an ethnic mixed media artist from Morocco, alongside local artist's cultural expressions.
Due to extreme weather conditions at the end of August , FESTURI had to be re-scheduled, but we will not be defeated by the weather!
On the 6th of October, FESTURI 2007 is proud of presenting a Brazilian feast of cultural expression with Rio Rhythmics Latin Dance Academy floorshow & Capoeira Demonstration with Zambiacongo Capoeira. A sizzling Latin experience.
A big night of excitement culminating with the great celebration on Sunday 7th of October at the University of the Sunshine Coast where performers from all over south east Queensland will showcase their talents, originating from countries such as; Brazil, Ethiopia, Bosnia, Greece, Germany, Malaysia, Mongolia, Samoa, Spain, China, Indonesia, India, Indigenous Australia, Ireland, Poland, New Zealand and more.
From the hotter than ever Saturday evening Latin experience to the final Sunday event of food, music, dance, song and the Grand Parade of International costumes, FESTURI 2007 is promising to be the best ever!

The FESTURI management committee regrets to announce that all FESTURI events have been postponed due to the current extreme weather conditions. These events are:
Today: World Concert -Lake Kawana Community Centre
Tomorrow: Latin Dance Night - Lake Kawana Community Centre
Sunday: Great Multicultural Celebration -University of the Sunshine Coast.

Unfortunately the University of the Sunshine Coast grounds have been flooded and the conditions of the university grounds will be unsuitable for use as a festival venue. Therefore, regardless of weather conditions on Sunday, we will be unable to hold the event.

The management committee will be meeting early next week to decide on a new date for the event. This will be released on Friday 31st on the FESTURI website.
