Chosen from 89 entries from right across Australia, New Zealand and the USA, Noosa Arts Theatre proudly presents the finalists of the 2012 National One-Act Playwriting Competition.

Noosa Arts Theatre have been fostering playwriting for over 30 years through this competition. Saturday’s final performance will see the announcement of the winner of the Best Play Award, and the presentation of the $3,000 prize money, sponsored by Macquarie Private Wealth, and the winner of the Nancy Cato Audience Choice Award, sponsored by Maverick Musicals and Plays, and supported by the family of the late Nancy Cato.

•    The 11th Noosa Longweekend Festival will be staged from Friday 15 -Sunday 24 June 2012
•    The festival comprises 10 days (and nights) of music, theatre, dance, literature, forums, film, food, visual arts and workshops staged at various venues in the iconic, beachside village and surrounding hinterland of Noosa, Queensland
•    Full festival program announced Thursday 3 May. Tickets on sale Tuesday 8 May
•    Over 80 ticketed and non-ticketed events will be on offer. Free events include heritage walks, photographic exhibitions, a children’s workshop and roving entertainment
