Floating Land: Reflect & Re-imagine will provide an opportunity to pause and reconnect with the grassroots beginnings of this event, exploring the connection between art, the environment and the local community.

Now in its 8th iteration, Floating Land: Reflect & Re-imagine will have a strong local focus, celebrating artworks and artists involved in previous Floating Land events.

Noosa Regional Gallery (NRG) presents a seven week retrospective exhibition showcasing works and iconic imagery from previous Floating Land events.

It includes an immersive sound installation “Floating Land: Cogitation” created by Dr Leah Barclay and James Muller, highlighting each iteration since its conception in 2001.

The exhibition includes an installation of works from the 2014 Noosa Biosphere Art Prize, Artist-in-Schools residency. Complementary to the exhibition will be a range of workshops, speakers and activities.

Visit Noosa Regional Gallery for full details.

The Tewantin foreshore will host a selection of new commissioned works by Lyndon Davis, Leah Barclay, Elizabeth Poole and Lisa Brummel, as part of this year’s Floating Land theme: Reflect & Re-Imagine.
