Learn practical tips to help your submission stand out from the rest!

The first three in a series of free ‘How to Enter’ workshops are being offered to businesses and individuals interested in entering this year’s Sunshine Coast Business Awards’ (SCBA). Entries for SCBA are free with online nominations now open and the Friday 29 August entry deadline fast approaching.

The 75 minute, interactive workshops will be staged in Caloundra on Tue 29 July at 11.45am, Noosa on Wed 30 Julyat 7.30am and in Maroochydore on Tue 5 August at 8.15am. A Nambour/Hinterland workshop is also being planned with details soon to be posted on the SCBA website

SCBA Awards Manager, Melinda Shelton said that the workshops would include a range of practical tips and tools designed to help businesses minimise the time required to complete their award submission while simultaneously maximising their chances of proceeding to finalist or winner status.

“We know that time is money when it comes to business, particularly in the case of small businesses. These workshops will help nominees to learn about what’s involved in entering, focus on what it is important to include as part of their entries and provide practical and creative ideas on how to differentiate their submissions from the rest.”

As SCBA celebrates its 20th Anniversary, Melinda said that the awards team had been delighted with the number of
nominations to date and encouraged local businesses to self-nominate or to nominate another business or individual
of their choice.

“Being nominated for a Sunshine Coast Business Award, regardless of whether the business proceeds to the next stage, is a great way to show your appreciation for your favourite business or business person, Melinda said. “One of the best parts of coordinating the awards is calling unsuspecting business owners to let them know that someone has cared enough to nominate them and appreciates what that they do.”
