The three Installations of artworks titled stands with boxing gloves, Between Scenes and Giom - the Barbara Thompson Story reflect views to do with stereotypes, colonisation, spirituality and identity and the effect of these when placed upon an indigenous female character, personified within the stories accompanying the artworks.

"Image and Identity - Ailan (Torres Strait Island) style"

The lecture will consist of a PowerPoint presentation of images/artworks, which address issues to do with identity, stereotypes, colonisation and spirituality from a Torres Strait Island perspective.
